Vale Tudo

Vale Tudo is a Brazilian phrase for "Anything Goes" that refers to the combat sport and the fighting style as well. As a sport, it is a fighting competition wherein fighters of different styles go up against each other with minimal rules, much like Mixed Martial Arts. This name came from a popular television show in Brazil in the 1960's that featured a style-against-style format, in which winners could challenge another person in the next episode.
