The King of Iron Fist tournament returns with the release of Tekken 4. The game is set two years after the events of Tekken 3. In the game, Heihachi is trying to splice DNA from True Ogre into his own genome. It doesn't work, because of the missing the "Devil Gene" required to complete the task successfully. By trapping Jin in the Iron Fist tournament, Heihachi tries to complete this devious task of making himself a super human. However, things are complicated by the apparent resurrection of Heihachi's murdered son, Kazuya. Amidst this background of turmoil and intrigue, the new tournament begins.
