Shoot
From Karate, Kungfu, Wrestling, Mixed Fighting Information Source
The shoot is a head-first tackle targeting the waist or upper legs of an opponent, used to carry out a takedown. The object of this technique is to wrap one's arms around one or both of the opponent's legs, resulting in a single-leg or double-leg takedown, respectively. It is commonly used in Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts. A shoot directed at the opponent's ankles is referred to as an "ankle-dive" and is especially used in Judo.
