Scottish Backhold or Scottish Backhold Wrestling is a type of folk wrestling that came from Scotland. From the name itself, this wrestling style features two participants that aims to bring an opponent dow to the ground. Unlike Greco-Roman Wrestling, wrestlers in this event must grip each other around the waist at the back, the right hand goes under the opponent's left arm and the chin rests on the opposite right shoulder. The match immediately starts when the referee shouts hold. When a releases his grip or fall to the ground, that person automatically loses.
