Mudokkwan Subakdo

Mudokkwan Subakdo or more commonly known as Subakdo or Soo Bakh Do is a traditional Korean unarmed martial art which means or "The Way of an Educated Strike". Subakdo is a hard soft style with powerful kicking techniques similar to Taekwondo however it emphasizes a greater use of the hands. The focus in Soo Bahk Do is the devlopment of physical, spiritual and mental well being as well as self defense. Students practice forms, sparring and self defense techniques similar to those in Aikido while higher level training requires students to learn defensive techniques against knives and short staves.

As a classical martial art, there is relatively little competion to the point of almost none in some areas. One unique aspect of Soo Bahk Do is also the fact that "Black Belts" don't wear black but Midnight Blue instead.
