Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero starts off when new hero emerges from the shadows of the past. It features one of the main characters in the Mortal Kombat series as a player takes the character of Sub-Zero. The main character is a ninja that hails from north Asia, where he was trained in the dark arts of combat with his father. Summoned by his masters, the Lin Kuei clan, Sub-Zero sets on a quest for the Map of Elements, a sacred document protected in the forbidding Shaolin Temples in central China. Sub-Zero is unaware that the Shirai Ryu ninjas sworn enemies of the Lin Kuei have dispatched their own emissary, Scorpion, with the same directive. The action is graphically realistic and thrilling as in all MK titles, and it includes the Mortal Kombnat fighting system, complete with a combo meter and the ability to develop new skills and moves as you gain experience by demolishing opponents. There are also many hazards and traps for Sub-Zero in the Shaolin Temple, and you'll have to make good use of the many power-ups, restorative herbal medicine, and ancient scripts to if you want to succeed in your quest.
