Mok Gar

Mok Gar is a martial art from China that is famous for its short-hand fighting techniques and powerful low kicks, making it one of the most complete and effective fighting styles. This martial art focuses on the development of stamina, flexibility and leg power by withstanding kicks and practicing acrobatic techniques.

History

Mok Gar originated with Mok Da Si, a Shaolin monk living in Guangdong Province in southeast China. His grandson, Mok Qing Gil, created the modern version of the style, and he defeated over 500 challengers in open combat to prove its effectiveness. Mok Gar is one of the Five Major Southern Family Styles.
