Korean Taekwondo Association

The Korean Taekwondo Association was established in September 16, 1961 at Seoul, Korea. Since then, the KTA has become a national governing body for the sport (Taekwondo) in Korea. It supports the World Taekwondo Association and is recognized in the International Olympic Commitee.

Goal
The Korea TaeKwonDo Association (KTA) is to introduce TaeKwonDo as a national sport so that it can physically improve a people's fitness and form healthy-bright characters of the nation. We are also trying to unify and guide amateur TaeKwonDo associations and its related leagues and matches to bring up excellent players and help our nation to build up strong-healthy cultural environment.

- Consult KSC inquires related to TaeKwonDo matches and make suggestions to related organizations
- Hold domestic TaeKwonDo matches
- Participate and hold and international TaeKwonDo matches
- Monitor and control branches its related associations
- Develop and improve TaeKwonDo skills
- Produce excellent players (international level)
- Develop, install and control an match equipment
- Research, collect and analyze data related to TaeKwonDo
- Promote and educate a people
- Produce TaeKwonDo bulletins and magazines
- Suggest examination of Poom promotion, Dan promotion
- Organize combined-training holder of a rank in the Korea
- Organize cultural interchange between school associations and gims
- Promote any necessary business which can help to complete the aim of this organization
