Kombatan

Kombatan is a Filipino martial art that was founded and developed by Ernesto Presas that features a fighting and weapons style similar to Arnis. Kombatan is generally characterized as a martial art that combines different traditional fighting styles into a single fighting system. It is considered a complete martial arts system that uses weapons, kicking, punching, and grappling using hands, feet, blades, and sticks. Practicing Komabatan improves the reflexes and reactions of students.

Unlike many other Asian martial arts, Kombatan first teaches students to use weapons and defend themselves against them. This philosophy is widely based on Filipino culture, where both women and men use swords and knives in their daily work.
