Dai Jutsu Do training

Dai Jutsu Do is a Japanese martial art that focuses on self-defence through unarmed combat. This style of combat is derived from two well-known fighting systems, Aikijutsu and Judo. This art was developed by Yamamoto Fumaru and was widely used by the Japanese Imperial Army during the Second World War. Dai Jutsu Do emphasizes practicality, effortless efficiency and simplicity when executing a technique.

Dai Jutsu Do's techniques involve joint locks, throws, pinning techniques and chokes. In the early days of Dai Jutsu Do, much emphasis was given to the development of the body as an intrinsic part of efficiency in application; nowadays, more emphasis is given to its waza or forms.
