Asian Martial Arts Games
The "1st Asian Martial Arts Games" was organized in the Philippines by its promoter Grandmaster Dr. Jonathan June" Makiling Abaya, the founder and President of the International Jendo Federation.
The games was held November 29th to December 4, 2007 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium located in Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Manila. Grandmaster Abaya and his Executive Board in the Philippine Full Contact Self-Defense Federation appointed a group of marketing people headed by a certain Engineer who just retired from his position as an official of a certain government agency.
Due to some irregularities and abandonment a of some of the people appointed by him and his board and of some officials from an asian body of martial arts who is supposed to sanction the games also abandoned the project, Grandmaster Abaya and his staff, Board members and technical officials in the Philippine Jendo Association, the parent organization of the Philippine Full Contact Self-Defense Federation, immediately takes over the games.
The games was successfully held with the assistance of the International Martial Arts Games Council (IMGC) Secretary General Leong Wai Meng and IMGC Executive Board member Master Norman Law of the Hong Kong Martial Arts Games Committee.
