Bokator
From Karate, Kungfu, Wrestling, Mixed Fighting Information Source
Bokator or Khmer Bokator is the ancient martial art of Cambodia that is believed to be the predeccessor of Pradal Serey. It was a close-quarters combat system used by the Cambodian army for fighting and self-defence. This art was deeply based on the principles of Buddhism and Brahmanism (Hinduism), combined with the concept of self-defence.
Like Chinese martial arts, many of its techniques imitate the movements of animals and legendary creatures like the Dragon. Khmer Bokator is a very complete martial art, which uses strikes, drags, trapping, and locking for both offense and defense. In Khmer Bokator, the entire body is used as a weapon.
