Chinese Martial Art Literature
Ancient Chinese Literature is primarily made up of long annals of histories, stories and poems that present their rich culture and history as a nation. Being one of its cultural components, martial arts in Chinese literatue have gone a long way, starting with stories that combine chivalry and philosphy (wuxia), books on war and military startegies, to present-day martial arts fiction from contemporary writers.
Japanese Martial Art Literature
Japanese Literature has long been influenced by Chinese Literature. Because of the passage of time and its geographical isolation, Japan cultivated its own culture and developed its own system of writing and language. Within its history of long wars and struggles arose the creation of a distinct Japanese martial art that orginated from the notable Samurai class.
The Samurai gave birth to Japanese medieval literature heavily imbued with Zen Buddhism philosophy, legendary Samurai exploits and mythical martial arts feats.
