The Shinobi Shozoku is a type of Gi that is characterized by its dark-color which is worn by practitioners of Ninjutsu. It is composed of a split-toed boots called the "jika-tabi" which is always accompanied by socks and trousers that are tediously tied at the ankles, waist, and the knees. It also has a jacket that has lapels that overlap that is tcuked under the trousers and a protective sleeve that covers the arms and the hands. It aslo comes with a hood hood or a mask that is suppose to caver the ninja's mask. The intricacy of the Shinobi Shozoku is designed for utility and convenience for it can conceal weapons, and protect the practitioner as well. Some ninjutsu schools use clored obi belts to indicate the ninja's ranking. The outfit is made of strong, dark-colored fabric, usually black cotton, fitted loosely to allow freedom of movement.
